Music to my ears

THISISIT.... Where to start, my children have birthdays just before Christmas and just after Christmas and this year received quite a bit of cash as presents.  I think this is mainly to do with their ages 8 and 10 and that they have birthdays so near to Christmas.

As they are both into their music they have been chatting about getting some sort of CD player so that they can listen to music in their bedrooms.  So it has been decided after trawling through the various Internet sites, Argos and Tesco brochures to get them one each.  Using their birthday money.

Now using their own money never really goes down well.  They are always happy to use our money, naturally, but dipping their little hands into their money boxes for their cash is a different matter.

Anyway we purchased two fine CD players for our lovelies, (from their own cash) which, they are so very happy with.  Each girl has one in her bedroom, playing her own music.

The music is a bit loud, and as my husband has pointed out he will not tell them to turn it down.  He remembers when he had music playing in his room, the moment his Dad could hear it, he was ordered to turn it down, the fun was lost on silent music.    I have suggested rather than telling them to turn the music down to teach them that when in the house the control should not be past a certain number on the volume dial....

The joy of hearing them singing at the top of their voices to two different songs at the same time is wonderful but a tad bit confusing as not sure what either of them are singing.  They have not wanted to watch TV, or go on the laptop or play on our phones.  One is singing and reading and the other is playing happily with her dolls house.  Such a good buy even is I say so myself......
